The Theme: Challenges and Opportunities for e-Commerce in Sharing Economy
The sharing economy has been challenging traditional industries in the West and now it is blossoming in China with people using services ranging from homeshares to clothes swaps. The sharing economy brings new business models and opportunities, but at the same time it also brings many challenges. With the progress of sharing economy, more and more new research questions need scholars in electronic commerce field and information systems field to study.

ICEC will be the 20thin a conference series that provides a forum for researchers and practitioners working on all aspects of Electronic Commerce. The prime purpose of the International Conference on Electronic Commerce (ICEC) is to enable regional and international Electronic Commerce researchers and practitioners to meet in an annual forum that maximizes the opportunity for quality information exchange. The conference will last two days. We propose to locate ICEC2018 in Tianjin, China. The main organizer would be the Business School at Nankai University (NKU), and the co-organizer is College of Economics and Management of Tianjin University.
The ICEC conference would be conducted at Nankai University which is located in Tianjin, China. Tianjin is approximately 180 kilometers southeast of China’s capital, Beijing. With completion of the High-Speed Train, Tianjin is easily accessible, and it will take merely half hour to travel to Beijing. With more than 20,000,000 people, Tianjin is one of the four municipalities in China. Its name means ‘the place where the emperor crossed the river’. In recent years Tianjin has received more and more attention from both tourists at home and abroad due to its numerous travel resources and rich history.
